The purpose of the crosswalk analysis is to ensure that the Preschool and Kindergarten Standards in the domains of Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) and Approaches to Play and Learning (APL) align with existing standards and assessment tools.
Interpreting the Crosswalk Analysis
The crosswalk analysis for each document contains two components: an excel document and a visual diagram. The excel document displays the overlap between the specific document and SEL and APL standards using the traditional table method. The diagram attempts to display the same information visually. The colors utilize on the diagram is matched with the corresponding color for the standard on the SEL and APL standards document.
